This year's theme for the Connecticut State Historic Preservation Office conference is "Shared Stewardship". The organization has invited artists to speak and I'm honored to be one of them! The other artists are Titus Kaphar, visual artist, Dar Williams, singer/songwriter and author of "What I Found in A Thousand Towns," and Madeline Sayet, playwright and actress.
The theme of my talk is how to bring the sophisticated topic of historic preservation to a young audience to inspire them to save historic buildings. I'll be using "When Jackie Saved Grand Central" as the example.
The conference is in Rocky Hills, CT and is happening May 16th. Here's the link for more information.
