In July I was lucky to spend about 9 days in the southwest part of Ireland, in a village called Kenmare. My friend, Teresa, invited me to stay at the house she and her husband were renting, and from this base, we took day trips. One such outing was to Derreen Garden in nearby Killarney where there was a scavenger hunt of sorts to find fairy houses along the trails in the gardens. I was so delighted by them that I've been drawing pictures using a new medium for me, watercolor pencils. Here are a few.
